I went through a phase earlier this year of not being able to draw in my usual manner. I kept trying, but things did not look all that great. Then the whale came. It flowed so easily and when I was done I was a bit amazed. I still am when I look at this image. When drawing or painting, I so often have the feeling of being connected to something else. It was definitely the case with this piece. I can't help but see the humpback whale flying its way through the stars.

    They are printed on archival, acid free paper- 100% cotton, cold press natural (no whiteners) - it matches the paper I use for most of my original drawings. And cotton is a more sustainable, eco friendly alternative to wood pulp.

    Printed in my studio with an Epson SureColor p800 with UltraChrome HD ink
