We might be a good fit if... (or not)

We might be a good fit if... (or not)

I've been fortunate to work with a few coaches that I simply knew I would work with. The timing wasn't always clear, but these kind of lists were some of the ways I knew I'd connected with the people that were right for me. Maybe it will answer that full body yes, or the full body absolutely not, for you.

I might be for you if:

  • You would like to deepen your relationships - either to yourself, your partner, your friends, family or the world around you.
  • You want to see the gifts in your struggles
  • You're ready to accept responsibility for your part in your relationships
  • You're willing to see a new perspective/a different way
  • You've already started the journey of working on yourself and you'd like some new tools, support, encouragement and accountability
  • You're interested in feeling alive, loved and aligned
  • You're open to a diverse range of practices from breath work, to somatic movement, to self reflection, journaling, yoga, guided meditations, and human design

I might not be for you if:

  • You're not ready to accept responsibility for your own thoughts/feelings/actions
  • You only want to "fix" your partner
  • You're not ready to face some challenging truths about yourself
  • You want me to tell you what to do so you can just do that instead of listening to your own inner guidance (I'm here to help you listen)
  • You want to blame the other person without looking at your own contribution
  • You have significant trauma you have not worked though (I am not a therapist and would need to refer you to someone else if something came up later)

Potential questions:

What do you mean by spiritual practice? And do I need to have one of some kind?

A spiritual practice could be anything you feel like connects you with something greater than yourself. It might be going for a run in the woods or staring out at the ocean. It might be having a gratitude practice every evening. It might be meditating for 5 minutes each morning or yoga nidra for 10 minutes before bed. It could be pulling an oracle card, or journaling, or going to church or lighting a candle and dancing to your favorite music.

And no, you don't need to have a defined spiritual practice, though if you are someone who hasn't thought about that kind of thing, and aren't willing to try something new, we probably wouldn't be a good fit.

Do I need to know about human design already?

Not at all, I can help teach you when it is relevant. It is a tool that can help you, but it is also a tool that can help me help you. It can help me to see better ways to communicate with you and have a deeper understanding about some of your mechanisms without you needing to tell me everything.

I don't like to be labeled and Human Design seems like a labeling system.

Some people do treat it that way. I see it more as a tool for understanding some of your unique energy patterns, none of which are good or bad to me. If you were 5ft tall, some might call you short if they are taller, some might call you tall if they are shorter. Labeling yourself as short or tall is just a story. The reality of being 5ft is just is a way to communicate about an agreed upon measurement. I can tell you something about your human design chart and you get to choose how it fits in to the story about yourself, knowing that you get to craft your story and change it at anytime.

Do you offer any refunds?

I do not. There are no guarantees of any outcome as I cannot control what you bring to the table. Ultimately it is my job to show up and be present and guide you towards some self realizations and it is your job to take action on the insights we uncover.

What does the sliding scale mean? How do I know where I fit?

When expanding in to a service based aspect of my business I knew I wanted to be able to offer a sliding scale option. I've seen a sliding scale described in a number of ways and this is similar to one I liked best.

Lowest amount - You may struggle to pay your bills and sometimes have to decide between paying for one necessity over another, considering hiring a coach feels like a huge stretch, you would benefit by community financial assistance.

Middle amount - You can pay your bills, occasionally some extra, needs are met and a little more. You can pay your way, you don't need community financial assistance but it isn't sustainable to help pay for someone else's.

Highest amount - You don't need to worry about how your needs are met, you regularly go out to eat, buy the things you want, you have money in savings and can help others by providing extra for community financial assistance.
